Coastal & Overseas Shipping Services

We use our expertise in cement transportation to provide "safe, reliable, and speedy" marine transportation, while also giving careful consideration to the preservation of the marine environment.
Coastal shipping
Cement Carrier
Since 1952, we have been involved in cement marine transportation. We now have a fleet of more than 10 cement vessels, and have a nationwide network to meet customer needs.
We also provide "safe, reliable, and speedy" cargo transportation through an on-line ship allocation system that enables real-time sharing of operational information with customers and appropriate ship allocation management.
We are also working to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions by installing devices that reduce frictional drag by pumping air into the ship's bottom and covering the ship's hull with bubbles.

Powder Cargo Ship Transportation
Utilizing our proprietary expertise in dedicated powder cargo ships, we transport Ground calcium carbonate (pulverized limestone produced at cement plants) to thermal power plants. Simultaneously, we bring back coal ash generated at power plants to cement plants, using it as a substitute for clay, which is a raw material for cement.
We also utilize slag (waste and solid materials remaining after ore processing) generated at steelworks as a raw material for cement. We actively promote the transportation of industrial waste to cement plants as part of environmental conservation efforts.
(Note: Coal-fired thermal power stations are equipped with flue gas desulfurization equipment that removes sulfur dioxide gas from flue gas for environmental protection. Finely crushed limestone, Ground calcium carbonate, is used as a desulfurization agent.)

Coastal Cargo Shipping
Inland cargo ships mainly collect gypsum generated by desulfurization at power stations and transport it to cement plants (as cement admixtures) and gypsum board manufacturers (as board raw materials). Additionally, limestone is transported to a limestone crushing plant as a raw material for desulfurization and to a cement plant as a raw material for white cement.
Furthermore, in marine transportation, over 35 municipalities nationwide have obtained licenses for industrial waste collection and transportation, and are now transporting industrial waste, including construction-generated soil. We also handle a wide range of other inland shipping operations.
